The Columbus Fire Department receives a grant for some much needed equipment.
Columbus Fire recently applied for and received an $8,500 grant that allowed them to purchase a new set of ResQ Jacks for Vehicle Stabilization. These are specialized rescue struts and jacks used by emergency responders to stabilize vehicles during rescue operations. They are designed to secure and lift vehicles that are on their side, upside down, or in other unstable positions, preventing them from shifting further and ensuring the safety of rescuers and victims.
Members of the Columbus rescue crews were able to receive hands-on training on the new equipment to allow them to better serve the community.
