A woman is seriously injured after being struck by a car while crossing a street in Independence.
36-year-old Katrina Hancock of Independence was crossing South 10th Street at the intersection with Walnut Street around 10:45 Sunday morning. While in the street, she was struck by a 2002 Toyota Avalon driven by 82-year-old Harold Robinson, also of Independence.
Hancock was taken to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for treatment. Robinson was uninjured.
