The Montgomery County Commission will meet today and hear from a representative of the Southeast Kansas Community Action Program or SEK-CAP.
SEK-CAP’s Community Engagement Coordinator Casey Brown will appear before the commission to address the agency’s recent announcement that it will no longer be able to provide General Public Transportation Services in Montgomery County due to a lack of sufficient local financial support. Commissioners are also expected to approve the County Economic Development Incentive Policy.
In other business, the commission will review four applications for Neighborhood Revitalization and hear an update on current projects from Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins. There will also be an executive session to discuss non-elected personnel.
Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
