Parade aficionados will find lots to be happy about this weekend in Independence.

 

As Neewollah week reaaches its conclusion, there will be lots of parades to enjoy. The Doo Dah Parade was last night and this afternoon is the Kiddie Parade at 4pm. The parades will happen rain or shine. Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says she's learned from past experience not to cancel.

 

Wilson says the grand parade begins tomorrow at 11am.

 

Free bandstand acts will begin tonight at 5 and tomorrow at 1. The carnival midway will beopen today from 3 to 10pm and tomorrow from 10am to 10pm. It all happens in downtown Independence.
