The Neodesha Fire Department responds to a false alarm at Heller Elementary School.

The incident occurred yesterday morning when Neodesha Fire received reports of a fire alarm at Heller. Units responded to the scene and students and staff were evacuated form the building. It was then discovered that a student had pulled the alarm and that there was no fire. All emergency procedures were followed by the school and, despite the fact that there was no danger, evacuation efforts are reported to have worked well.

Staff and students were given the all-clear and allowed back in the building. There were no injuries.
