The City of Chetopa is urging residents to continue to conserve water.

According to the City, due to unforeseen delays, the water tower maintenance and repair project is not expected to be finished until late next week.

During this time, residents are asked to conserve water and avoid unnecessary usage to help maintain adequate water levels and pressure throughout the system. No bulk water sales or hydrant usage will be permitted, except in the case of fire department emergencies.
