A flash flood watch is in place today for northeast Oklahoma as there is at least a 15% chance of excessive rainfall today for much of the area.
The flood watch will be in place today from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. for Kay, Osage, Washington and Nowata Counties and areas to the south. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain are possible along the Kansas-Oklahoma line, with locally higher amounts possible to the south towards Tulsa.
Rain chances will continue now through early next week. There may be a bit of a lull in the rain during the late afternoon and early evening today, with chances picking back up through about noon tomorrow for Neewollah activities in Independence.
