A Missouri man is seriously injured in a crash with an emergency vehicle.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the emergency vehicle driven by 23-year-old Valeria Green of Miami, OK, was northbound traveling through the intersection at 7th and Main Streets in Galena just before 4pm yesterday. The second vehicle – a 2004 Kia Sorento driven by 60-year-old James Carter of Goodman, Missouri – was eastbound with a green light and was struck by the emergency vehicle. Carter's vehicle then overturned and struck a third vehicle.
Carter was taken to Freeman Hospital in Joplin for treatment for serious injuries. Green suffered minor injuries in the accident.
