Coffeyville Community College is looking at the potential of adding solar panels to a few locations around campus.

President Marlon Thornburg says this would help reduce their reliance on local energy.  SEK Solar's Daniel Zywietz says they're looking at putting solar panels at the football stadium and on top of Weinberg Hall.

CCC would also potentially look at adding solar panels to the top of the student union. This was just a preliminary discussion and no decision was made. Tax credits would be available to the college if the project were to begin before the end of the year.
