A wind advisory is in place through early afternoon for the four-state area.

 

South winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected for southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma and southwest Missouri.

 

Those in the area should use caution while driving in cross winds and secure outdoor object. The advisory will be in place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this afternoon.
