The Kansas Department of Transportation is looking for the public‘s support in their efforts to secure a national award.

 

KDOT has recently developed a tool called VR USA. Kim Negrete with the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization says the tool helps communities plan safer infrastructure goals for vulnerable road users.

 

Cherie Sage with Safe Kids Kansas says the tool helps communities protect the most vulnerable road users.

 

KDOT is hoping the tool will win the People’s Choice Award from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. To vote for KDOT, follow this link. You can vote daily.
