The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident at the Riverton School District.
On Monday, the sheriff's office was contacted by administrators in reference to alleged inappropriate actions involving a male student and other female students. Detectives from the Cherokee County Sherriff’s Office began an investigation into the allegations.
During the investigation, detectives determined that criminal acts had occurred. Yesterday, formal charges were submitted to the Cherokee County Attorney’s Office in relation to this incident. No further details can be released at this time.
