A Bartlesville woman faces a felony child abuse charge after allegedly hitting a child with a belt.
Bartlesville Police says 35-year-old Megan DeVeronica was charged Thursday for the charge after attempting to discipline the child. DeVeronica allegedly struck the child in the bottom and in the upper back. The victim had bruising on the shoulder.
BPD says DeVeronica allegedly admitted to striking the child more than once.
Her bond is set at $50,000, with her next court appearance set for October 31st.
