A few storms are possible this afternoon with a marginal risk of severe weather this evening.
Locations along and southeast of the Kansas Turnpike will have the highest chances for storms. The strongest storms will be capable of producing nickel to quarter-size hail along with 50 to 60 mph winds. Thunderstorm development is most likely after 7 tonight.
Increased severe weather chances also include northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and southern Missouri through the overnight hours into early tomorrow morning, with a better chance of severe weather centered around the state of Arkansas.
