With cold weather around the corner, a fundraiser to help keep local children warm is coming up.
The 19th Annual “Coats for Kids” Motorcycle Run will be this Saturday in Coffeyville. Organizer Marty Frye says the event is in memory of “Special” Ed Schille and provides for kids in need around the area.
Motorcycles and even cars are welcome to gather at St. Paul's Episcopal Church this Saturday at 11:30 in the church parking lot at 7th and Elm. Frye says the parade will begin at 12:30 and end at American Legion Post 20 on 12th Street.
Chili will be served after the parade at the Legion. Cash donations for coats are always welcome, and the entire event is open to the public.
