The Wilson County Commission continues to evaluate their options regarding the most effective way to provide EMS service to the City of Neodesha.

 

Representatives from the City of Neodesha, county and city EMS and fire, and the county commission, have had numerous discussions in the past two months about the current situation. Neodesha City Manager Brogan Jones says the current EMS resources are not fully operational.

 

Neodesha and Wilson County Medical Center have been receiving mutual aid on transfers from both Fredonia and Independence for the past several weeks. County Commissioner Andrew Miller says a bettter solution needs to be reached.

 

The involved parties have until the end of the 2025 year under the current system, to continue discussing future options.
