Coffeyville Hazardous Waste Collection Tomorrow

 

Coffeyville Cleanup week continues with a chance to dispose hazardous waste coming up tomorrow.

 

Bulk trash items can continue to be dropped off at the tree dump by following the signs at 1st and Union. Items accepted include furniture, appliances, TVs and residential building materials. Items not accepted include tires, hazardous waste, prescription drugs, contractor building materials and household trash. Refrigerators and air conditioners must include a certificate showing Freon has been removed.

 

Electric Services Director Chris Weiner says all bulk items except hazardous waste will be collected in one location.

 

The tree dump will be open 10 to 6 through tomorrow, and 8 to 4 on Saturday and noon to 4 on Sunday.

 

Hazardous waste be collected tomorrow from 8 to 2 behind the Pete's Convenience store. Antifreeze, pesticides, used oil, transmission fluid, household cleaners, paint and batteries will be accepted. Explosives, compressed gas cylinders, tires, trash and asbestos cannot be taken.

 

A driver's license or utility bill with a Coffeyville address is required to utilize these services. Anyone with questions can call the city clerk at 620-252-6108.
