Montgomery County Clerk administers swearing in ceremony to the new County Treasurer.
Mandi Hargis was officially sworn in as the new Montgomery County Treasurer at noon on Tuesday. Although Hargis won election to her office in November 2024, due to state statute, new County Treasurers do not take office until the second Tuesday in the following October.
Prior to her election, Hargis served for 18 in the Montgomery County Treasurer's Office, bringing a great deal of previous experience to her new role. Hargis will serve a four year term as Treasurer. She takes over her duties from outgoing County Treasurer Nancy Clubine, who officially retired last week after more than 40 years of service.
