A weekend end fire in Dodge City claims three lives.

 

The Dodge City Fire Department responded yesterday morning to a structure fire on the southern edge of the City. The call came in to dispatchers around 9:40. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found two trailer homes and three vehicles involved in the fire. One trialer home was sfully erngulfed in flames.

 

Crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire to keep it from spreading to other areas. Officials have confirmed that three people perished in the fire. The Dodge City Police Department is currently investigating in an attempt to identify the victims.

 

The Kansas State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
