Authorities in northwest Arkansas spent the weekend trying to find the owners of a stray emu.

The large, flightless bird was discovered wandering along a road near a wooded area southeast of Fayetteville. Authorities attempted to capture the animal, but emus are known to be excellent runners and managed to avoid being snared. The large bird, named Crissy, was finally captured and has been returned to its owners.
