FBI Arrests OK Teen After Threats Made Against School

A Tecumseh, OK, teen is in custody of the Federal Bureau of Investigation after threats were made online to “shoot up” a school over the weekend.

The male teenager was identified as the source of the threats made against an unknown school on Saturday. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office contacted the FBI to assist in the investigation. A search of the suspect’s home revealed evidence supporting the reported threat. Investigators say the teen admitted to the plans and to making the threats during an interview. The suspect has been charged with terroristic threats, threatening an act of violence, violating the computer crimes act, and obscene materials.

Authorities have not identified Tecumseh High School as the target of the threat, but the disctrict has canceled classes for today and tomorrow as a precautionary measure.
