Members of the USD 446 Board of Education are set to meet tonight in Independence.

 

Board members are expected to once again discuss the proposal from the City of Independence regarding the district’s use of the Central Park Sports Complex. The School Board and the City have been in negotiations for the past few months in an attempt to develop agreeable terms for use of the facilities and payment to the city by the district. Also on tonight’s agenda is the publication of a Request for Proposals for turf at Shulthis Stadium.

 

Board members will also hear a report on enrollment from Superintendent Jason McAfee and building reports about district schools.

 

Tonight’s meeting begins at 7pm in the library at Independence High School. The public is invited to attend.
