A Rose Hill man is found guilty on all charges in connection to the death of his 6-year-old adopted daughter.

 

Joseph Schroer appeared in a butler county courtroom yesterday and entered a plea of no contest to two counts of aggravated child endangerment and one count of Medicaid fraud in the death of Kennedy Shroer. The child's body was discovered buried in the backyard of the Schroer home in September 2024.

 

The child's adopted mother Crystina Shroer also entered a plea of no contest to second degree murder in the case.

 

Police believe the girl died in December 2020. Kennedy Schroer was born Natalie Marie Garcia in July 2014. Her name was changed to Kennedy when she was adopted by the Schroers in 2019.

 

Crystina Shroer will be sentenced on November 10 and Joseph Schroer on December 3.
