An accident involving a semi truck causes major traffic delays on I-44/The Turner Turnpike southwest of Tulsa yesterday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the big rig struck a barrier wall on the interstate, causing both the east and westbound lanes of the roadway to close for several hours. According to the O-H-P, the truck driver was talking to his co-driver and not paying attention to the road. He then left the highway to the right and hit the barrier.

No other vehicles were involved and only minor injuries were reported.
