Neewollah is just around the corner and that means lots of fun events are coming up in Independence.
Neewollah Generlissimo Mindy Blackard says organizers and volunteers have put lots of work into this year's festivities.
Events get underway on Friday, October 17th, with performances of themusical Annie at Memorial Hall. Tickets for those performances, as well as for the Queen Talent show and coronation, and the Buckets and Boards Percussion show are currently available at neewollah.com. The Chilli Cook-off is also coming up on October18 at Riverside Park. Blackard says one of her favorite parts of Neewollah takes place that weekend, too.
Neewollah runs through Ocotber 25th in Independence.
