The 2026 budget for Montgomery County is done and the mill levy is lower than expected, but commissioners continue to hear from taxpayers.
At this week's commission meeting, a Montgomery County citizen addressed the commission a bout property tax rates. He says, despite the outcomes, it seems like commissioners still haven't gotten the message.
Commissioner Mike Cordray says the commission is still looking for workable solutions, including a possible county-wide sales tax.
In other business, commissioners approved the expenditure of just over $79,000 in state grant money for the purchase of 77 new computers to replce those that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11.
