A Hutchinson teen is dead following a rollover crash in McPherson County.

The accident happened Friday morning around 5:30am on I-135 between McPherson and Lindsborg. A 2003 Ford Ranger driven by 20-year-old Bentley Eckhoff of Hutchinson was southbound on the interstate when the vehicle went off the road to the left. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times before coming to a rest. Eckhoff sustained minor injuries and was taken to Salina Regional Health Center. A passenger in the vehicle 19-year-old Joel Guffey, also of Hutchinson, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Neither man was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.
