Authorities in Anderson County are crediting a local man with saving the life of his neighbor.

 

Around 9:45 Thursday morning 9-1-1 dispatcher in Westphalia, Kansas, received reports that a vehicle had fallen on a man and that the man was trapped underneath. First responders arrived on the scene to discover that the man's neighbor had already managed to lift the vehicle and free the man. EMS began llife-saving measures on the victim until he was air-lifted to a Kansas City hospital.

 

Anderson County Sheriff Wes McClain credits the quick thinking and actions of community members with saving the victim's life.
