A vape shop in Independence joins several others across the State of Kansas as the subject of raids by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
Indy Vapes was raided Thursday afternoon by around 20 law enforcement officers. The raid was part of a state-wide effort to combat the sale of illegal marijuana products in Kansas. Director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Tony Mativi says the state can no longer turn a blind eye to law-breaking.
Indy Vapes, located on North Penn Avenue in Independence, was closed after the raid. Sedan One Stop in Sedan was also raided in yesterday's action. KBI agents raided ten total shops earlier this week including locations in Wichita, Pratt, Salina, McPherson, and Topeka.
