The Kansas Highway Patrol Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses.
The KHP is asking for help in identifying witnesses to the pursuit that ended in Coffeyville last Friday. The pursuit began in Owasso by officers from the Owasso Police Department with assistance from Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Tenisha D. Mayberry and Cortez J. Wasson had fled the scene and struck an Owasso officer with the driver's door.
When the pursuit entered Kansas, officers from the Coffeyville Police Department took control of the pursuit near the intersection of Highways 169 and 166, traveling northbound onto Patterson Boulevard. Mayberry failed to stop at a red light. The pursuit continued northbound approaching the intersection of Patterson and 8th Street where Mayberry again failed to stop, striking a vehicle that was crossing the intersection.
