Pryor Couple Convicted for Embezzling Charitable Funds

A Pryor couple is convicted for embezzling funds from a charity they ran from 2017 to 2023.

Jordan and Vanessa Parker were each convicted of two counts of embezzlement and one count of pattern of criminal offenses. The jury assessed the maximum punishment for each count, totaling 18 years in prison and $45,000 in fines.

According to legal affidavits, the Parkers used two donations from a Tulsa business totaling $600,000. These donations were intended for sober living services for recovering addicts through the non-profit, the Reckless Saints of Nowhere. Instead, the Parkers purchased a personal vehicle, motorcycle, timeshare, sports memorabilia, video games, rent for their home and more. The donations were received between April and June of 2021. The couple depleted the funds in a matter of months and the Reckless Saints of Nowhere had little to no tangible assets to show for it.

Multiple board members for the organization said they were unaware of the purchases and likely would not have approved the spending, due to their personal nature.
