The Neodesha City Commission dicusses water meter options for those who do a lot of watering during the summer months.
At September 24 meeting, a Neodesha resident came to the commission with questions about the best way to make sure she was paying for the water she used during the summer without over paying during the winter. The woman told commissioners that her large flower beds and garden required a lot of water during the warmer months. Mayor Devin Johnson says, in the past, the city has handled that by installing a second meter.
City Administrator Brogan Jones says customers in that situation have the option of turning off the second meter during the winter.
The citizen provided a lot of information she had gathered as tohow other area cities deal with the issue. Johnson thanked her for her work and stated that the city would look for the best solution going forward.
