An Ottawa man who was the subject of a manhunt last week surrenders peacefully to police.

 

Authorities in Franklin County, Kansas, say 53-year-old Lester Caleb was located last week following an incident at his residence involving Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies. Authorities say Caleb fired on deputies after law enforcement was called to his property west of the City of Ottawa on September 21st. Caleb then disappeared from view and law enforcement was unable to find him. Officers finally made contact via telephone with Caleb early last week and he agreed to surrender without incident.

 

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has not released any details as to any charges that may be filed against Caleb.
