A Webb City woman faces charges of child endangerment.
Kelli Marie Newberry was charged Friday in Jasper County with two counts of child endangerment after an investigation reported finding children living in her home in what is being called unsafe conditions. Investigators from the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division and Webb City police officers say Newberry acted with criminal negligence and created a risk to the children’s health and safety. Court documents claim to have found children in the woman’s home sleeping on deflated air mattresses that were covered with cockroaches and the presence of marijuana use, excessive alcohol consumption, and domestic violence in the home.
The children have been removed from the home and Newberry has been ordered by the court to have no contact with them at this time.
