The Montgomery County Commission will hear the results of its 2024 audit at today’s meeting.

 

Representatives from the Chanute-based CPA firm Jared, Gilmore & Phillips will be on hand to report on their audit of the county’s finances last year. The report will provide a comprehensive view of the county’s financial health, the auditor’s findings, and additional details supporting the main financial statements.

 

Commissioners will also hear a quarterly reports from Live Healthy Montgomery County.

 

In other business, County Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson will appear along with Jeremy Hunsucker of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to provide an update on cell phone plan options for county employees.

 

Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
