A 17-year-old boy is dead following a collision with a semi truck in Mitchell County.

The accident occurred just before noon yesterday on K-14 near the intersection with V Road or about 14 miles south of the City of Beloit. Austin Jablonski of Lincoln, Kansas, was driving a 2003 chrysler Town and Country when he crossed the center line and collided with a Kenworth semi driven by 29-year-old Trey Mosier of Ellinwood, Kansas. Both vehicles went into the ditch and then caught fire. Jablonski suffered fatal injuries while Mosier was unharmed in the accident.
