The Kansas Department of Transportation is currently working on two projects on US-59 in Parsons and Parsons Police are urging drivers to use caution.
KDOT is currently reconstucting a segment of north 16th Street near the Parsons Walmart. Crews are also working on south 16th Street near the Little Labette Creek Bridge. The road in both locations will be reduced to a single lane in each direction by utilizing the shoulder as a temporary lane. Both projects will create a smoother road surface for drivers.
KDOT and the Parsons Police remind drivers to use caution and follow speed limits and signage in these and all other work zone. Extra caution should be used at intersections in the work area in an effort to avoid collisions.
