An Oswego traffic stop leads to the arrest of two people on drug charges.
Officers from the Oswego Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2007b Mercury Mariner early Wednesday morning at the intersection of 6th and Commercial Streets. During the stop, a K-9 officer conducted an open air sniff. The dog indicated the presence of illgeal narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the car revealed methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and cash.
27-year-old Kenyon Best of Parsons and 24-year-old Ladonna Long of Columbus were arrested. They were booked into the Labette County Jail on multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
