Two are arrested following a suspicious death in Vinita.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Vinita Police Department requested OSBI's assistance in an incident.
On Monday, September 22nd, Vinita Police responded to a property along South Foreman Street in Vinita. When officers arrived on scene, an adult male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who determined the victim suffered injuries consistent with homicide. Based on this information and the evidence gathered from the scene, OSBI special agents identified two suspects as 43-year-old Renee Carpenter and 38-year-old Jacob Bailey. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Craig County Jail on a Second-Degree Murder complaint.
The investigation will be provided to the Craig County District Attorney’s Office, who will determine official charges.
