Two people are now charged in the 2014 cold case murder of Dustin Ray Carver in Delaware County, Oklahoma.
A tip from an inmate in the Clinton County, Missouri, Jail has led to the arrest of 42-year-old James Larson Jr. and 40-year-old Penny Larson. The 20-year-old Carver was last seen at a residence in Kansas, Oklahoma, shortly before his disappearance in May 2014. When Delaware County Sheriff's deputies and agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation searched the property, they discovered a burn pile containing human remains.
Arrest warrants for the two suspects were issued on September 12 and Penny Larson was taken into custody on September 17 and booked into the Clinton County Jail. James Larson Jr. was already in custody through the Missouri Department of Corrections on an unrelated charge.
Both have been charged with 1st Degree Murder in the case.
