The Kansas Highway Patrol is looking for public feedback on the agency's compliance with national law enforcement standards.
K-H-P maintains national law enforcement, academy, and communications accreditation through the Commission on Law Enforcement for Accreditation or CALEA. Part of the process to maintain accreditation is to give the public the chance to voice their opinions. The agency has set up an online public portal to give citizens the opportunity to do this. The purpose of this public portal is to receive comments regarding compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accreditation status. Using this portal, citizens can express concerns and make recommendations in order to provdie K-H-P with information to allow for improvement.
