Severe Storms Possible Overnight, Flood Watch Issued

Storms are likely to develop overnight across the four-state area into early tomorrow morning.

According to the National Weather Service, southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma have the best chance of severe weather development, with Montgomery County on the edge between a slight and marginal risk of severe weather.  Winds up to 65 mph, ping pong-ball size hail and heavy rainfall are all possible.  Widespread rainfall between one and two inches is possible, which has prompted a flood watch to be in effect across the entire four-state region.

Timing for severe weather is expected between 1 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, with the flooding potential lasting through noon.  KGGF will provide severe weather coverage as needed.
