The Chautauqua County Commission approves multiple motions during a brief meeting this week.

 

The commissioners approved both the proposed 2026 calendar of holidays for county employees, as well as the monthly Allied Health fee.

 

County Clerk Niki Collier says an area organization also had a unique request regarding their budget.

 

New Beginnings operates as a disability services and support organization, based out of Neodesha, but also serving Chautauqua, Elk, and Greenwood counties. Collier says this request was made to make the process easier.

 

The commission will meet one final time in the month of September, next Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. on the second floor of the courthouse in Sedan.
