A semi-truck hauling grain crashes on a state highway in southwest Missouri.
The accident occurred on Friday night on Missouri Highway 43 just south of the Elk River and about 2 miles from the Oklahoma state line. The truck was southbound when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed into the ditch, where it overturned and came to rest on its roof. All of the grain in the truck spilled into the ditch. The Missouri Highway Patrol and McDonald County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene along Tiff City Fire and Freeman Ambulance.
The driver was not injured in the crash, but authorities are investigating the accident as a possible DWI.
