An Okmulgee woman is seriously injured in a dog attack.

31-year-old Janelle Scott was riding bikes with her boyfriend when she was attacked by two pit bulls last week. Scott had ridden ahead of her boyfriend when the attack occurred. She managed to escape once, but was caught again and was bitten on the leg. Her boyfriend then arrived and helped fight off the animals before calling 9-1-1. Scott suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital. Her injuries were so severe that doctors were forced to amputate her arm and leg. Her doctors say Scott could still face more amputations.

There has been no word on the status of the dogs involved in the attack or if anyone will face criminal charges in the incident.
