The repair of a railroad crossing north of Cherryvale is set to begin on Monday.

South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad plans to close and repair its crossing on U.S. 169 in Cherryvale just northwest of County Road 5200 starting on Monday. US-169 will be closed to both lanes of traffic while repairs are underway. Traffic will be rerouted through Cherryvale.

The repair and the road closure are expected to take about a week.
