Mother and Son Face Charges in Stolen Car Case

A mother and her son are both facing charges in connection to an incident involving a stolen car in Pittsburg.

On Monday morning Pittsburg Police responded to the scene of an accident in which a Ford Fusion allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. While officers were on the scene, police received a report that the Ford Fusion had been stolen from a Pittsburg business earlier that morning. When officers questioned the driver of the Fusion – identified as 18-year-old Terrian Williams – fled the scene on foot. Police followed him to a nearby house, where Williams began throwing objects at officers and claimed to have a gun.

As officers attempted to convince Williams to surrender, his mother 39-year-old Denise Kimble-Hicks arrived and began yelling at officers.

Both Williams and his mother were eventually arrested. Williams has been charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, theft, criminal damage to property, criminal threat, and interference with law enforcement. Kimble-Hicks has been charged with interference.

They will both appear in court to face their charges on October 17.
