Corn harvest is underway in the four-state area.
With the weather mainly dry minus a few hit-or-miss showers, conditions have been decent for field work, especially in southeast Kansas where 33 percent of the crop has been harvested. Across Kansas, maturity is at 55% which is near the 59% average but behind 70% last year. Harvest is generally delayed when compared with last year and the average.
Condition was rated 63% good or excellent with 24% reported fair.
