The Humanities Project from Coffeyville Community College welcomes musical historian Lee Murdock to the Spencer Rounds Theater .
Murdock brings a unique blend of music and storytelling focused on the lighthouses of America. His music features the heroics and tragedies of shipwreck rescues, the isolation and beauty of lighthouse life, and the people who live and work along the inland seas and oceans. Murdock uses both six- and twelve-string guitars, Murdock weaves together ragtime, Irish, blues, and folk styles with his storytelling.
Audiences are invited to experience the history, mystery, and romance of America’s lighthouses through Murdock’s dynamic program.
Murdock will perform tonight at 6:30 in the Spencer Rounds Theater on the CCC campus. Admission is free.
