The Caney Fire Department responds to a house fire.

Caney FD along with the Montgomery County Rural Fire Department respond to a house fire in the 600 block of North Smith Street around 12:30pm. According to witnesses, crews had the fire almost completely under control by around 1:45pm.

Units were called back out at around 2:15pm to assist with hot spots.
